Beta/ReleaseNotes/2.3.2768
From Tomes Support Wiki
We'll call this the first alpha release in the 2.3 series. This version is not yet feature complete as compared to my plans for the final 2.3, but it's at least not lacking any features compared to current 2.2 releases.
Please consider this release alpha level and refrain from installing it if you'd be unable to downgrade in case of issues. I'm *NOT* aware of any showstoppers in this release, but the changes to the downloader interface were fairly extensive. That said, the reading interface is minimally changed. I'm not concerned about the reliability of reading books, but only of downloading them.
The previous version is available here if needed: http://www.iphonetomes.com/beta/download.php?f=a&rev=2674

New in this Release:
- Redesigned download interface - better separation of online & local ShelfServer sources.
- Support for Atom-based book catalogs including OPDS.
- On-device for ePub format (no longer converted to Plucker by ShelfServer).
- Several new online book stores accessible including ManyBooks.net, Project Gutenberg, and others
- Ability to download web pages on-device for later reading (see known issues)
- Fixed crash on new Apple hardware
- Improved layout on book detail screen
Known Issues:
- On-device web page downloading lacks most of the cleanup functionality provided by ShelfServer. This results in poor on-device display, especially for sites with wide table layouts. This will be fixed before release.
- On-device purchase of books will move to Safari before final release as Apple is unlikely to approve purchases within Tomes itself.
Focus for Testing:
- Downloads from various new OPDS sites.
Planned Additional Features:
- Allow assigning a picture to book cover art
- Choose one of the supported file types to attempt to open unrecognized file extensions.
